A communication in Angewandte Chemie on transparent enconded microspheres has been accepted for publication

Transparent microspheres are optically encoded with color core droplets. A microfluidic device produces and manipulates double emulsion droplets of equal size with unprecedented controllability, which are photo-polymerized to produce microspheres. Importantly, the silica colloidal particles anchored preferentially at the surfaces of the microspheres provide efficient binding sites of biomolecules for biological analyses based on suspension arrays.
