A Communication in Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. on multiple emulsion drops with high-order has been accepted for publication as a VIP.
A facile method to produce monodisperse multiple emulsion drops of high order is developed using a capillary microfluidic device. Coaxial multiphase flows are stabilized by confinement in microcapillary, which are emulsified to multiple emulsion drops. The core drop-triggered breakup of coaxial interfaces facilitates the making of multiple emulsion drops of onion-like configuration while the breakup in jetting mode enables the manipulation of the number of core drops.
